Belarusian footballer, Denis Khomutov, has signed for Inter Milan on loan from FC Spartak Moscow.

The 24-year-old defender, who was born in Minsk and played for Dinamo Minsk before moving to Russia, will join the Serie A club until the end of the season.

Khomutov is expected to make his debut against Udinese on Sunday.

He joins fellow Belarusian players, Kamil Grosicki and Vasil Kirillov, who have also been linked with moves to Italy.

Inter Milan are currently second in Serie A, but they will be looking to push for a top-four finish this season.

Khomutov has made over 100 appearances for Spartak since joining them in 2016, and he has been praised for his defensive skills.

His signing could strengthen Inter's defence, which has struggled in recent weeks.

The club has already signed several new signings this summer, including goalkeeper Antonio Rudiger and midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

However, they still need to improve their performance on the pitch if they want to compete for titles in Europe.

With Khomutov on board, Inter may just have what it takes to challenge for the title this season.
