Enrique is one of the most celebrated football players in Brazil, and his career at Flamengo has been nothing short of remarkable. Born on June 21, 1987, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Enrique began his professional career with São Paulo FC before moving to Flamengo in 2004.

At Flamengo, Enrique quickly established himself as one of the club's key players, helping them win three Campeonato Brasileiro titles during his time there (2006, 2007, 2008). His performances for the team were so impressive that he was named Brazilian Footballer of the Year twice - in 2006 and 2007.

Enrique's talent did not go unnoticed by other top clubs in Brazil or Europe. In 2008, he joined Italian giants AC Milan for a fee of €15 million, becoming the most expensive player in Brazilian football history. He spent two seasons at Milan, but injuries limited his playing time and he eventually returned to Flamengo in 2010.

Despite being sidelined due to injury, Enrique remained an influential figure for Flamengo, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists in 59 appearances for the club. He helped Flamengo reach the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores in 2011, where they lost to eventual champions Santos.

In 2012, Enrique signed a new contract with Flamengo, committing to stay with the club until 2015. However, he suffered a serious knee injury during a friendly match against Corinthians in April 2013, which ruled him out for the rest of the season.

After a long recovery period, Enrique returned to Flamengo in January 2014, but his form was not quite up to par. He scored just four goals in 22 games for the club, despite having the opportunity to showcase his skills once again in the league.

Despite his struggles, Enrique remains a beloved figure in Flamengo's fan base. He continues to play for the club and has expressed his desire to remain with the team until his retirement. His dedication and commitment to the club have made him one of the greatest players in Brazilian football history.
