Alan Franco is a Brazilian footballer who plays for the Brazilian club Flamengo and has been involved in several successful seasons at the club, particularly during the 2015-16 season when he helped Flamengo to win the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title.
Franco started his career with Santos, but after impressing scouts with his performances on loan from Santos, he moved to Flamengo in 2014. He made his debut for Flamengo in 2014 and quickly established himself as one of the club's key players. In 2015, Franco scored five goals in just four games before being called up by Brazil to the national team for their friendly matches against the Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2016, Franco was part of the Brazilian squad that won the Copa América in Argentina. He continued to be a regular player for Flamengo throughout the rest of the season, helping the club reach the semi-finals of the competition.
After a disappointing season in 2017, Franco returned to Flamengo for the 2018-19 season. However, he struggled to make an impact and was released by Flamengo at the end of the campaign. Despite this setback, Franco remained a valuable asset to Flamengo, scoring six goals in 22 appearances in the 2019-20 season.
In the 2020-21 season, Franco played a crucial role in helping Flamengo secure their first Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title since 2015. He scored four goals in the league and also provided assists for his teammates. Despite not making a significant contribution to the team's success, Franco remains an important member of the Flamengo squad and continues to be a respected figure within the club.
